Story
Set in an alternate version of the 1950s, Atomic Heart takes place in the Soviet Union in which robotics and other technologies have gone rogue. These bioengineering experiments have taken over a manufacturing facility and are running rampant. You play as KGB special age P-3 who is sent to this facility to investigate it after it had fallen silent.
Atomic Heart is a shooter-RPG set in an alternate-history Soviet Union, blending first-person combat with role-playing mechanics across multiple platforms. Since its February 2023 release, the game has continued to receive post-launch support and attention.
Recent developments include a crossover collaboration with time-travel tactics RPG Reverse: 1999, which launched in July as part of that game's first global version update. The collaboration brings Atomic Heart's Facility 3826 setting into Reverse: 1999's universe with character appearances and new content. On the technical side, Focus Entertainment removed Denuvo anti-tamper protection from the PC version in a recent patch, marking a notable shift in the title's DRM approach following its initial release.
