About
Shadow Hearts is a PlayStation-era JRPG series known for its dark supernatural storytelling and unconventional combat mechanics. The franchise has been dormant for years, but series creator Yoichi Miyaji remains active in the genre through Penny Blood, a spiritual successor in development at his studio. Penny Blood has faced significant hurdles in its journey to completion. The project encountered setbacks when Kickstarter campaign organizers allegedly failed to deliver promised funding to the development team. Despite these obstacles, Miyaji and his studio have not abandoned the project, though they are still searching for publisher backing to bring it to fruition.
