Puyo Puyo is a match-three puzzle game where players clear colored blobs by connecting four or more of the same color. Originally released in 1991, the series has appeared across numerous platforms spanning from NES to modern systems.
The franchise continues to find new audiences through re-releases. An EGGCONSOLE version based on the PC-9801 original is coming to Switch in late August 2026, bringing the classic puzzle action to Nintendo's hybrid system.
