What is happening now

Metroid Ravenous returns the series to 2D side-scrolling action on Nintendo Switch 2, launching January 28, 2027. The adventure introduces a new mechanic centered on Samus consuming enemies, with the premise following her crash-landing on a mysterious moon where she's ambushed by a group of cloaked antagonists. Samus also regains voiced dialogue in this entry. Since its Nintendo Direct reveal, the game has moved into pre-order phase with standard and special editions available. The standard version carries a $59.99 price tag, while a special edition retails for $194.95 and includes a steelbook and Amiibo figures. The Switch 2 version will support 120Hz output and carries an estimated file size that's been disclosed to the public.
