Eclipse 2025

About

Spell-based souls-like combat, with an interconnected world.

Story

Set in August 2017, players follow Jack, a young adult, as he documents abandoned locations with his friends. What begins as a normal episode suddenly turns into a nightmare inside The Holloway Mansion. Something terrifying happens, leaving Jack to survive alone in the mansion and face the horrors. An ancient power, buried deep under the estate, has an incomprehensible power that can twist Jack's mind to the point where you can no longer tell what's real and what's not.

What is happening now

Eclipse is a PC role-playing game released in September 2025. The recent coverage surrounding Eclipse appears to primarily concern the astronomical phenomenon rather than the game itself, with news outlets covering solar eclipse events, broadcasts, and viewing opportunities across various platforms and regions. There are also references to other eclipse-themed projects in development, including a space shooter titled Rogue Eclipse launching elsewhere, and ongoing coverage of Star Wars: Eclipse, an unrelated title from Quantic Dream that has faced development challenges and labor disputes. Gaming coverage has also revisited how other titles like Dark Souls 3 have handled eclipse imagery in their world design.
