About
Pirates of the Burning Sea is an MMORPG set in a pirate-themed world, originally released in 2008. The game arrived to respectable critical reception but struggled commercially in its initial launch. After years of relative obscurity, the title has resurfaced on Steam, marking a return to wider visibility for the aging multiplayer title. Whether the swashbuckling MMO can find an audience in today's gaming landscape remains to be seen, particularly given the proliferation of pirate-themed games that have emerged since its original release.
