About
Joe & Mac is a platformer arcade game that debuted on multiple systems in 1991, following two cavemen through jungle environments filled with dinosaurs and hazards. The series maintained a presence across home consoles including NES, SNES, Genesis, and various other platforms throughout the early 90s. The franchise has now resurfaced with Joe & Mac Retro Collection, which launched digitally in late October across current-generation platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and Switch. The collection appears designed to introduce these classic platformers to contemporary audiences while preserving their original arcade sensibilities.
