About
Space Engineers 2 is a sandbox simulation where players design and pilot spacecraft and structures in procedurally generated space environments. The game launched in early access on PC at the end of January 2025, drawing on the foundation of the original Space Engineers while introducing new mechanics and systems. Since its release, developer Keen Software House has pushed out a major update focused on performance and stability. The patch, titled "Smoother, Stable & Faster," targets the core technical experience with improvements to frame rate consistency and overall system reliability - priorities that often define early access survival games where players spend extended sessions building complex projects.
