About
Long Dark is a survival platformer that launched in November 2022 across PC, macOS, and Linux. The game has recently seen shifts in developer priorities, with Hinterland Studio redirecting resources away from a planned sequel to focus on new DLC content for the base game. The studio cited industry uncertainty as a factor in the decision to reallocate staff. The next expansion, Blackfrost, has been delayed and won't arrive in early access within the current year, marking an adjustment to the game's content roadmap as the studio adapts to changing circumstances.
