About
Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition is an action game that arrived on PC and PlayStation 3 in October 2013, bundling the original stealth-focused title with its downloadable content. The game marked a significant collaboration between veteran designers, most notably Harvey Smith, who co-directed the project alongside his extensive work on immersive sims like the original Deus Ex. Recent industry news has centered on Smith's career developments rather than the game itself. The longtime creative force behind Dishonored and its sequel, as well as director on Redfall, has established a new independent studio called Black Pony Immersive. Smith's departure underscores a shifting landscape in game development, with established leaders increasingly striking out to form their own ventures.
