Story
Street racer Alex Taylor's life is shattered when his older brother Dayton, leader of the 5-10 motor club, is gunned down before his eyes. Framed for the murder by a corrupt FBI agent and betrayed by the club's ruthless new boss, Shiv, Alex is sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. Five years later, FBI agent Zoe Winters offers him a way out: a temporary release in exchange for going undercover to expose the corruption and bring Shiv to justice. To do it, Alex must infiltrate the 5-10s and climb their ranks from the bottom, proving himself behind the wheel in race after race. His mission takes him across a vast, open recreation of the United States, from Detroit and Chicago to New York, Miami, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, building a crew of skilled allies along the way as he chases both redemption and revenge.
What is happening now
The Crew is an open-world racing game that launched in late 2014 across multiple platforms, letting players explore a scaled recreation of the United States while completing missions and competing in various vehicle-based activities. Recent coverage surrounding the game has been sparse and largely unrelated to The Crew itself. News items appearing alongside the game's listing reference unrelated stories - including buzz around a different title called Dear Passengers, which focuses on cooperative airline management, and a viral story about a construction site cat. Neither reflects current development or player activity for The Crew.
