About
Capture is a strategy game clone of Reversi or Othello, Capture has players taking turns placing black and red game pieces on a green 64-space grid. The objective is to trap the other player's pieces and several pieces can be trapped at once. When a piece gets trapped, it changes to the colour of the trapping player's pieces. When the board gets full, the player occupying the most spaces wins the game. Games can be timed, and players can give or take a time handicap. There are six different skill levels from which to choose.
What is happening now
Capture is a strategy card and board game released for the Arcadia 2001 in November 1982. The title occupies a niche space in the console's limited library, representing an early attempt to bring tabletop gaming mechanics to home video systems during the platform's brief lifespan. Coverage of Capture remains sparse, with recent mentions largely tangential to the game itself - appearing primarily in broader discussions about entertainment media and gaming platforms rather than focused on the title's mechanics or legacy. The game has not generated significant contemporary discussion or updates.
