Unexpected Journey is a casual RPG adventure available on PC and macOS since July 2018. The indie title draws inspiration from classic fantasy literature, most notably through a collaboration with Magic: The Gathering and The Hobbit that brings Middle-earth aesthetics and characters into its design. The crossover integrates hobbit characters and fantasy creature artwork, establishing the game's thematic foundation within established fantasy worlds. While coverage remains limited, the partnership suggests the game positions itself as an accessible entry point for players interested in narrative-driven adventure games with recognizable fantasy elements.
