Beyond Contact is an action-adventure game where players manage expeditions and upgrade their vessels through collected gear and skill progression. Since its Early Access launch in September 2021, the game received its first substantial update, introducing a new side story expedition alongside significant structural improvements. The redesigned shipyard now displays firing arcs for each hull type before purchase, while skill trees were rebuilt to better support character development. The patch also rebalanced gear across the board, addressing progression mechanics that shape how players outfit their ships.
