About
Mass Effect 5 was the next game in BioWare's sci-fi action-RPG series, first teased at The Game Awards in December 2020 and planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It never got a release date. In October 2026 EA closed BioWare as part of about 400 job cuts and cancelled the game, so the next Mass Effect will not come out.
