State of War is an RTS title originally released in 2001. The game has recently received attention through its connection to Gloria Victis, an open-world MMO that Gamigo revived last June after acquiring it from developer Black Eye Games. The publisher, which has increasingly positioned itself as a steward of legacy MMOs, brought the game back with a fresh server and bonuses for returning players. In its latest update, Gloria Victis introduced a guild warfare system designed to deepen the territorial control mechanics central to its sandbox design.
