Zeno Clash is a first-person action-adventure game that blends shooter mechanics with melee combat in a surreal, stylized world. Released in 2009 for Xbox 360 and PC, the indie title established ACE Team's distinctive approach to action design through unconventional aesthetics and gameplay. The studio has since moved on to new projects, most recently The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, an extraction-based game that carries forward some of the team's collaborative sensibilities. That title draws inspiration from Lovecraftian horror, positioning four players in a 17th-century jungle setting filled with cosmic-influenced creatures - a thematic departure from Zeno Clash's bizarre, dreamlike atmosphere, but one that maintains ACE Team's commitment to atmospheric world-building.
