Square is a minimalist indie puzzle game released on PC in August 2022. However, recent coverage reveals significant confusion in aggregation - most headlines reference unrelated topics like Pokemon Go events, Final Fantasy 8, and aircraft development. The only directly relevant coverage concerns Squarrel.io, a distinct free browser-based multiplayer title where players compete on a shared board with each square triggering a quick minigame. That game emphasizes accessibility with no download or account requirements. Without substantive recent coverage specifically about Square itself, its current status and community reception remain unclear from available sources.
