About
Observer: System Redux is a cyberpunk adventure game from Bloober Team featuring the late actor Rutger Hauer in what became one of his final roles. The game places players in a dystopian future where they assume the role of an observer tasked with investigating crimes through immersive technology. Recent coverage has centered on the game's connection to Hauer's legacy following his passing. The studio has acknowledged his contribution to the cyberpunk narrative at the heart of the experience. Additionally, a limited edition physical release for Nintendo Switch 2 has been announced, though it has been delayed and is now scheduled for November 2026.
