Funguys Swarm is a cartoony survivor bullet hell where the forest is on fire—and it’s very much not fine. Become a Funguy, arm yourself with forest-crafted weapons, and unleash some bonkers powers on the Fireking’s army. And maybe—just maybe—save the day if you’re skilled (or lucky) enough.
What is happening now
Funguys Swarm is a cartoony survivor bullet hell from Stairway Games that tasks players with defending a forest against the Fireking's army using mushroom characters armed with flamethrowers and other weapons. The game blends strategy and action across multiple platforms following its August 2026 release. The title recently exited Early Access and arrived on consoles, with the Nintendo Switch 2 launch arriving alongside versions on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Coverage highlights the game's chaotic premise - mixing mushroom protagonists, mutated vegetables, giant bosses, and environmental hazard mechanics - with early impressions praising it as a well-crafted entry in the bullet heaven subgenre that successfully balances its absurd concept with solid gameplay mechanics.
