About

Bruce Lee is a video game designed by Ron J. Fortier, with graphics by Kelly Day and music by John A. Fitzpatrick. It was originally developed for the Atari 8-bit family and published in 1984 by Datasoft, along with a port for the Commodore 64. The game was converted to the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC and published by U.S. Gold in the same year. An MSX version was published in 1985 by Comptiq. Bruce Lee is a platform game/beat 'em up hybrid, in which the player controls Bruce Lee.

What is happening now

Bruce Lee is a platform-fighting game originally released in 1984 across numerous 8-bit systems including the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC. The game tasks players with navigating platforming sections while engaging in hand-to-hand combat, establishing itself as a notable early action-platformer during the microcomputer era. Recent activity has centered on port preservation and emulation work. An Amiga conversion has surfaced, bringing the game to Commodore's 16-bit hardware via a port derived from the Sega Master System version. Developed to run on classic Amiga OCS hardware with minimal memory requirements, the port represents ongoing efforts to make the title accessible across different retro platforms.
