Following the strong commercial performance of FireRed and LeafGreen ports on Nintendo Switch earlier this year, reports suggest that Hoenn remakes may be heading to the platform sometime soon. While unconfirmed, the rumor points to The Pokemon Company potentially continuing its strategy of bringing earlier generation titles to modern hardware after the success of those Kanto region releases.
Earlier this year, The Pokemon Company released ports of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen for the Nintendo Switch, which went on to perform extremely well on the new console.
