Naval Warfare is a 2011 indie action title for PC. However, the recent coverage aggregated here actually concerns Battlefield 6's Season 4 update, which launched in July and introduced naval combat features to that game. The season brought new water-based maps including Tsuru Reef and the returning Wake Island, along with two-seater jets and additional weapons. Battlefield Studios invested in making the naval engagements intense enough to compete with the environmental aesthetics. While the update has drawn praise for finally delivering on some of the game's potential, it notably did not include amphibious assault mechanics similar to those featured in the campaign.
