What is happening now
Blade & Soul is NCsoft's long-running action RPG, which launched in 2012 and has since spawned alternate versions including Blade & Soul NEO. The franchise has remained relatively quiet in recent years, with the main entries failing to generate significant industry attention lately. Meanwhile, the series has expanded into Blade & Soul Heroes, a spinoff that takes the franchise in a different direction with its own approach to combat and character progression. The game has been receiving regular code updates as of late 2026, suggesting ongoing support and engagement efforts. Heroes appears designed to offer flexibility in how players approach the experience, distinguishing it from other entries in the Blade & Soul lineup.
