About
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is Blizzard's third expansion for its long-running MMO, originally released in 2008. The expansion is being revived as a limited-time format following an announcement at BlizzCon 2026. Details remain sparse on what this return will entail, but the move reflects continued player interest in the game's legacy content. Blizzard has previously experimented with revisiting past expansions through different formats, so the exact structure and duration of this revival remain to be clarified.
