About
Get moving in Nintendo Switch Sports with Golf, Soccer, Volleyball, Bowling, Tennis, Badminton, and Chambara (swordplay) using Joy-Con controllers! Controls are intuitive, so you can hit the court (or lanes, or field, or arena) and get started. With controlled motions you can curve your bowling ball, add spin to a tennis shot, or even use a Joy-Con with the included Leg Strap accessory to kick the ball in a Soccer Shoot-Out. Family and friends can join in on the fun on the same system or online.
What is happening now
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort brings motion-controlled sports action back to Wuhu Island with 12 playable activities, featuring both standard character designs and Mii avatars alongside traditional options. The sequel is confirmed to work on Switch 2 and will launch in October 2026, with a physical bundle heading to Southeast Asia in August. A Southeast Asia bundle and discounted preorders are already in circulation ahead of the October release. Recent previews from San Diego Comic Con highlighted four of Resort's sports including archery, bowling, and power cruising, with hands-on coverage suggesting the game delivers accessible fun through its variety of mini-games and visual presentation. Japanese gaming audiences ranked the title as a most-wanted game for the first time on Famitsu's latest chart. Community discussion has centered on the Mii character proportions, which have been notably altered compared to previous entries, sparking debate among fans about their redesigned appearance.
