About
Redfall is a first-person action game about fighting vampires, launched as an Xbox exclusive in May 2023. The game struggled with both critical and player reception following release. According to recent accounts from director Harvey Smith and other leadership, the project faced significant challenges. Smith has disclosed that he attempted to convince Microsoft to greenlight a final patch for improvements even after being let go from the studio, though it's unclear whether this update materialized. The troubled development ultimately led former Arkane leadership to part ways with the studio and establish Black Pony Immersive, where they're now developing first-person action-RPGs under a new roof.
