Missing The Point is a sport-adventure title available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Linux. Recently, the game drew attention through coverage of developer commentary on broader industry trends - specifically, remarks from DarioSamo, who worked on an unofficial PC port of a classic N64 platformer, regarding the use of generative AI in porting legacy games. The developer's statement pushes back against claims that AI accelerates such porting work, suggesting those assertions either misrepresent the technology's actual role or sidestep the core issues involved in faithful game preservation and adaptation.
