What is happening now
Books is a puzzle game released in 2017 for PC. Beyond the base game itself, recent coverage has centered on author Brandon Sanderson's broader interest in adapting his work across different media formats. Sanderson, identifying as a lifelong gamer, has expressed enthusiasm about bringing his Mistborn series to video game form, though he emphasizes the importance of finding the right development partner for such a project. His magic system's mechanics are seen as naturally suited to interactive adaptation. Separately, Sanderson has been pursuing tabletop versions of his Cosmere universe, collaborating with Brotherwise Games on standalone board games and a larger TTRPG in development.
