Stranger Things 2016

About

A short one-room game based on Netflix's "Stranger Things"

What is happening now

Stranger Things is a point-and-click adventure that launched on PC at the end of 2016. Recent coverage highlights a newer RPG title sharing the Stranger Things name that has arrived on Steam, which begins with pastoral farming-simulation mechanics before gradually introducing darker, more unsettling elements. The game appears to subvert genre expectations by layering horror and mystery over what initially presents as a familiar rural-life experience, creating an experience reviewers found compulsively engaging despite - or because of - its tonal shifts.
