Maneater 2 returns players to the role of a rampaging shark, this time hunting through Neptune's Kingdom, a luxury private island-themed park. The sequel expands on the original's action-RPG formula with new mechanics, including the ability for your shark to wallrun, and introduces multiple shark forms to adopt during gameplay. The game will feature encounters with whales, crabs, and other sea creatures as you progress through the ecosystem.
The announcement came during a recent State of Play presentation, generating considerable enthusiasm around the franchise's return. Tripwire Interactive and developer Demiurge Studios are positioning the game as the next chapter in what they're calling the "ShaRkPG" series. Maneater 2 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch 2, and PC on December 31, 2027.
