Originally thought as an exclusive title, Rayman Legends used the Wii U Gamepad for some functionalities. After going multiplatform, the Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions of Rayman Legends gave the ability to control Murphy in certain stages through touch controls. This interaction was removed from the other versions.

Story

A full century has passed since the last great adventure, and Rayman, his friend Globox, and the little Teensies have spent the long years fast asleep. But while the heroes slumbered, danger quietly took root. The Bubble Dreamer's nightmares grew ever stronger and more numerous, fueled by the return of the wicked Magician, who has split himself into five Dark Teensies to spread his mischief. Worse still, the nightmares have captured Barbara and her fellow warrior princesses. When Murfy discovers the threat, he rushes to rouse Rayman and company from their sleep and warn them of the chaos spreading across the land. Wasting no time, the heroes set off through a host of fantastical worlds to rescue the captured princesses and put an end to the growing menace.
