About
Ranger Rumble is PlayStation's mobile adaptation of the Ratchet & Clank franchise, bringing the action-shooter series to a new platform following its February 2023 PC release. The game has since entered soft launch, with access recently expanding to the United Kingdom. Early coverage suggests the mobile version captures some core elements of the series - the signature weapons, bolt-collecting progression, and comedic tone are present. However, reviewers note the game lacks some of the personality and polish that defines the franchise, feeling competent in its mechanical execution but missing the spark that makes Ratchet & Clank distinctive. The shift to mobile has seemingly come with trade-offs in delivering the series' characteristic charm.
