What is happening now
The Elder Scrolls Online is a long-running MMO strategy game that launched in 2023 on PC and Mac. Following significant layoffs at parent company ZeniMax Online Studios as part of broader Xbox cuts, the developer has moved to reassure players about the game's future through an extended roadmap and closer collaboration with Bethesda proper. Leadership has emphasized the title's continued commitment and signaled plans for new Skyrim-focused experiences, positioning the MMO as a cornerstone title moving forward despite recent industry turbulence.
