What is happening now

Showrunner is a simulator and strategy game where players manage the creative and business side of producing television series, released on PC in January 2023. The game tasks players with navigating the decisions that shape a show's narrative, cast, and success. Recent coverage has largely focused on actual television showrunners discussing their own projects rather than the game itself - including updates on series like House of the Dragon, King of the Hill, Blade Runner 2099, and The Rings of Power. This suggests the game may operate in a space that resonates with how real industry figures approach their work, though direct engagement with Showrunner as a title appears limited in current gaming coverage.
