Shantae is a platformer-adventure that debuted on Game Boy Color in 2002, combining action gameplay with RPG elements in a colorful indie-styled package. The series has since appeared on Nintendo 3DS and other platforms.
Recently, WayForward - the studio behind Shantae - was reportedly collaborating with CD Projekt Red on a Cyberpunk-themed 2.5D brawler, though the project's current status remains unclear. Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red continues focusing on the ongoing success of Cyberpunk 2077 while its sequel remains in early stages.

Cyberpunk 2077 continues to perform exceptionally well for CD Projekt Red, but as we wait for news on its (still faraway) sequel, it's been reported the studio had a smaller Cyberpunk 2077 game in the works at one time too.
