About
The Binding of Isaac is a roguelike dungeon crawler that originally launched on PC in February 2023. The game has since expanded significantly, with developer Nicalis now preparing a major console release in the form of The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online, arriving on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 on November 19th, 2026. The upcoming release marks the debut of online co-op gameplay on consoles, a notable addition to the franchise. The launch date has drawn attention largely because Nicalis has chosen to release the same day as Grand Theft Auto 6, a decision that stands out given how many other publishers have deliberately avoided that date. Whether the timing proves strategic or challenging for the indie roguelike remains to be seen.
