About
R-Type DX is a shooter for Game Boy Color, released in 1999. The game adapts the arcade series to handheld play with the characteristic arm-cannon mechanics and level design the franchise is known for. The title has recently drawn renewed attention through a physical reprint for Game Boy Color, signaling continued interest in the system's library. Alongside the reissue, the game's soundtrack is being released on both CD and vinyl, giving collectors expanded ways to experience the game beyond the cartridge itself.
