About
The Web is a browser-based game that launched in May 2022. Recent developments have given the title an unexpected second life: it received a limited physical Game Boy release, bringing the experience to Nintendo's classic handheld. Meanwhile, Entity, the Dublin-based studio behind the game, secured $5.8 million in seed funding to expand its vision of delivering console-quality gaming experiences through web platforms. The funding round underscores growing interest in web-based gaming as a distribution channel, positioning The Web as part of a broader industry shift toward browser-accessible titles.
