Pokemon TCG Pocket 2024

About

Pokemon TCG Pocket is a digital card game that launched in October 2024, bringing the trading card experience to mobile platforms. The game has been expanding its roster with new sets, most recently the Ruler of the Skies expansion, which added over 230 cards including several Mega Pokemon like Rayquaza, Sharpedo, Metagross, and Gallade. These new cards, particularly the powerful ex variants, are reshaping the competitive meta and spawning various deck strategies for players to explore. However, the game has faced headwinds in player engagement, with recent reports indicating a sharp decline in both player count and revenue compared to the previous year. Developer The Pokemon Company has acknowledged the downturn and signaled plans to implement changes aimed at winning back the audience, suggesting the title is entering a critical period despite its continued content rollout.
