What is happening now
Rogue Trooper is a shooter released in 1986 across multiple 8-bit platforms, based on the 2000 AD comic series. The game represents an early video game adaptation of the sci-fi property. Recent attention to the franchise has centered on an animated film adaptation directed by Duncan Jones, known for his work on Warcraft and Moon. The film, featuring Sean Bean, Jermaine Clement, and Matt Berry, reportedly blends comedy, violence, and political themes drawn from the source material. While the movie exists independently of the original game, it signals renewed interest in the Rogue Trooper IP beyond its 1986 debut.
