About
Sonic Classic Collection is a Nintendo Switch compilation assembling six platformers from the series' formative years. Sega released the cartridge as part of a 35th anniversary celebration alongside a separate Modern Collection bundle. According to coverage, the Classic Collection stands as a worthwhile Switch release for fans seeking the franchise's most influential entries. However, the broader Modern Collection announcement has revealed what reviewers describe as a significant flaw in how Sega has structured these physical releases, though the Classic compilation itself appears to deliver the core appeal of revisiting these foundational games on current hardware.
