About
Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a first-person action game released for Nintendo 3DS in August 2016 that departs from the mainline Metroid series by emphasizing cooperative multiplayer over solo exploration. Players take on the role of elite Federation Force soldiers rather than Samus Aran, engaging in combat-focused missions designed for team play. The game has largely faded from public attention since its release, though Nintendo recently refreshed its trademark registrations for Federation Force and its included Blast Ball mode alongside other titles. The refresh suggests Nintendo is maintaining its legal claim to the property, even if active development or support has ceased.
