Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is a 2D action adventure starring two new characters. Servants of the Dark takes the tight action players enjoyed in Gal Guardians: Demon Purge and vastly increases the exploration and collection elements, shifting genres completely to a full Metroidvania for an all-new experience.

What is happening now

Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is a metroidvania platformer developed by Inti Creates, released across multiple platforms in March 2025. The game follows protagonists Kirika and Masha through an adventure across its world. Following its initial Switch release, the developer has announced a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving in January 2027 with enhanced performance. Inti Creates is also promoting the upcoming port through Japanese retailer exclusives, including newly commissioned artwork of the two leads available as posters and tapestries at select shops.
