The Expanse: A Telltale Series 2023

About

In the near future on the outskirts of the asteroid belt, a bloody mutiny breaks loose on the Artemis. You take the role of XO Camina Drummer, where your choices determine the fate of the ship. What will you do with the truth, Bosmang?

Story

A choice-driven episodic adventure set before the events of the television series, The Expanse: A Telltale Series casts players as Camina Drummer, the executive officer of the Artemis, an independent salvage vessel roaming the far reaches of the Solar System. Life aboard the ship is a hard scrape, its crew surviving by scavenging abandoned and derelict spacecraft for valuable parts and cargo, drifting through the dangerous silence of deep space in zero gravity. The story turns when the Artemis comes upon a wrecked ship carrying an extraordinarily valuable cargo, a discovery that promises to change the fortunes of everyone aboard. Yet the decision to claim that prize sets off a chain of consequences no one can fully foresee, testing loyalties among the crew and drawing them into escalating danger. As Drummer, the player must weigh difficult choices in dialogue and action, choices that shape relationships and steer the fate of the Artemis and its people.

What is happening now

The Expanse: A Telltale Series brings Telltale's narrative adventure format to the sci-fi setting of the popular book and TV series. Originally launched in April 2023 across major platforms, the game tasks players with making choices that shape the story within the Expanse universe. The title has continued expanding its reach beyond its initial release. Most recently, Limited Run Games announced a physical version coming to Nintendo Switch, marking the platform's first opportunity to experience the game. Pre-orders for the physical edition opened following the announcement, giving collectors and Switch owners a chance to get in on what was initially a digital-only release.
