American Truck Simulator puts you in the seat of a driver for hire entering the local freight market, making you work your way up to become an owner-operator, and go on to create one of the largest transportation companies in the United States.
Story
Experience legendary American trucks and deliver various cargoes across sunny California, sandy Nevada, and the Grand Canyon State of Arizona. American Truck Simulator takes you on a journey through the breathtaking landscapes and widely recognized landmarks around the States.
What is happening now
American Truck Simulator is a truck driving simulator where players haul cargo across the United States. Since its 2016 launch, the game has been expanded through regional DLC packs. The latest expansion brings North Dakota into the game's drivable map, continuing the series' steady geographic growth. Beyond standard updates, the game has spawned a spin-off experience called Road Kings, which layers disaster movie scenarios onto the familiar trucking gameplay. The spin-off retains the core loop of cargo delivery - including mundane runs like transporting exercise equipment - but interrupts these routines with catastrophic events. Early hands-on time suggests Road Kings balances its apocalyptic framing with the more meditative appeal of the simulator's original formula.
