A Kingdom Hearts announcement is expected at tonight's D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase panel, according to leaker DanielRPK. The reveal will occur separately from tomorrow's dedicated Kingdom Hearts panel. According to reports circulating ahead of the event, Kingdom Hearts 4 is slated for late 2027 across all major platforms, with the Coco world confirmed as part of the game. Additionally, a Kingdom Hearts anime series is in development.
The timing suggests Disney is using its main entertainment showcase to tease Kingdom Hearts content before diving deeper during the series-specific panel that follows. This dual-announcement approach indicates significant franchise momentum heading into 2027.
- Kingdom Hearts 4 targets late 2027 release on all major platforms with Coco as a confirmed world setting.
- An anime adaptation is in active development, expanding the franchise beyond games.
- The announcement strategy spans two separate D23 panels, suggesting multiple reveals across the event.
