Both DualShockers and GameRant have published curated lists of six open-world titles positioned as compelling alternatives for players awaiting GTA 6's PC release. The selections emphasize immersive environments that offer the kind of expansive gameplay loops GTA fans typically seek, serving as time-fillers for those who want substantial worlds to explore while the anticipated sequel remains unavailable on PC.
The roundup underscores a practical reality: GTA 6's console exclusivity period leaves PC players without Rockstar's latest, creating a gap that other open-world franchises can help fill. The featured games are presented as thematically or mechanically similar, though the lists serve more as distraction recommendations than direct GTA 6 replacements.
