TCG Card Shop Simulator is leaving Early Access on September 15, 2026, concluding a two-year development run that began in September 2024. The management sim has become a significant indie success during its time in preview, moving over 3.5 million copies. The full release will include a playable trading card game integrated into the shop simulation, expanding what was already a compelling loop of inventory management and customer interaction.
The game's strong performance in Early Access suggests developer confidence in the 1.0 launch, and the addition of an actual TCG component addresses a natural gap in a game centered around card shop culture. Whether that card game proves substantial enough to justify continued engagement beyond the initial appeal of running a shop remains to be seen.
- After two years in Early Access, the simulator exits preview with 3.5+ million copies sold, indicating robust indie market appeal.
- The full release adds a playable TCG, giving the shop sim an endgame activity beyond purely operational gameplay.
- The September 15 launch closes a development cycle that began with the game's September 2024 debut.
