Lovely Hellplace has launched Entropy into Early Access on Steam, bringing the opening chapter of its dark fantasy CRPG to players. The first act, called Gloaming Isles, represents approximately a quarter of the finished game and includes two towns alongside three dungeons for exploration. The studio built Entropy with deliberate nods to classic isometric RPGs, employing low-polygon aesthetics and gothic aesthetics that draw visual inspiration from PlayStation-era design.
The game appears to have already generated meaningful anticipation following its Steam Next Fest demo in June, which suggested enough promise to garner early attention from the community. Lovely Hellplace's previous work on Dread Delusion established the studio's capability with retro-leaning fantasy design, setting expectations for how Entropy would handle its old-school systems and atmosphere.
- Entropy's Early Access launch delivers Act 1 as a self-contained experience representing roughly 25 percent of the full campaign.
- The visual direction leans deliberately into low-poly aesthetics and gothic grimdark design rather than pursuing modern fidelity.
- Pre-Early Access reception from Steam Next Fest indicated sufficient community interest to warrant the formal release.
